I analysed all I now know: my thought process, approach to problem solving and experience in general, and I want to say thanks. Not only am I grateful for helping me to grow so fast in my career prospects, but also helping me accomplish so many things that were only dreams to me (buying my own MacBook, school, working remotely, meeting new people, even communication skills and English language etc). I’m so glad I met you.

Our 3 Core Features
1. Community Driven
Our employees may spend 10% of their paid work time on impactful community volunteering and contributing to open source projects.
Our free workshops rely on community volunteers to coach in small, hands-on groups and focus on teaching the thought process.
Our programs achieve scalability by empowering the community to create a virtuous cycle where the the first cohort of students can then teach the next cohort.
Our volunteer coaches include exited entrepreneurs and programmers working at unicorns.
2. Global Perspective
Talent Co-Op offers participants a chance to interact with people across the world, be it fellow program participants in a different country, or mentors who are leaders in their field.
Our list of mentors and speakers includes Senior Engineers at Google, Staff Engineers at LinkedIn, open source community leaders, and also people across different industries (e.g.: founders at Bio-Tech startups, product managers and even psychologists)
Our co-founder helped organise the 2020 PyLadies Workshop in the UK for women to get their foot into the door.
3. A Clear Career Path
Talent Co-Op is all about helping anyone with the dedication and the talent to succeed by giving them a clear direction and the required resources and opportunities every step along the way.
A key chicken-and-egg problem in tech is that many tech skills and industry best practices are only learnt on the job, and not through studying. Many people get stuck on the loop of not having the skills to get the job, but also not having a job to hone their skills.
In addition to placing Apprentices to directly work in our own dev shop to nurture them with real world projects and working professionals, we also welcome the participation of other companies.

The Talent Funnel
We also support other grassroots tech organisations by offering our volunteers to coach and speak at their events; and we make small donations to their events based on the number of talent they can successfully move to the next stage of the talent funnel. Our certification program in partnership with CodeGrades benefits open source community leaders acting as one-on-one mentors in the certification process.
